Bembridge is located at the most easterly part of the Isle of Wight. It is sometimes described as the largest village in England because it has grown so much since the victorian era. Once this part of the island was almost cut off from the rest of the Isle of Wight by Brading Haven until some significant land reclamation over the years.
Bembridge is less commercial than other ares of the Isle of Wight and is seen as a more affluent area. Although the main part of Bembriidge is located near the church, Bembridge Harbour is also worth seeing, as in addition to a good number of yachts, there are some interesting houseboats, one of which is a guest house.
The Bembridge Windmill which is outside the village is the only windmill on the Isle of Wight and is preserved by the National Trust.
